Oh Boy, oh boy! We love our tech equipment. My biggest fear is not being about to put it down to enjoy the trip. You guys are in for a real treat and as long as we have battery life, we will have coverage.
The tech equipment alone takes up a fair amount of space so we constantly have to make sacrifices in our backpacks. The cords...my god the cords and adaptors we need, Aaaahhhh. I won't even get started on Europe's asinine electrical system that we will need three adaptors for. Why couldn't they all get on the same page with this one? I'm just going to buy my adaptors and shut my mouth. The whole thing is uninteresting to me and I don't even want to take the time to research it. Just as long as our shit doesn't blow up.
The Sony HDR Cam is our biggest toy. We researched the GoPro and others, but it really came down to this one. It is amazing and you will soon get to see why we chose it. Joe plans on wearing the cam when he runs with the bulls. You will see his view first hand. Look for me standing safely on the Balcony with my glass of wine cheering him on.
Cell phones.... nope! Crazy to think about, huh? We will have an international phone to accept emergency calls and security alerts- that's it. No facebook, no instagram, no pinterest..etc. It will be nice just us and the real world interacting. We will have an iPad to check email periodically when we have access to WiFi and upload pictures and video to keep every up-to-date. But this is it!
